The EFA introduction program

During the arrival and adjustment stage, seminars and workshops will be offered to introduce the expatriate family to their new environment and to alleviate the symptoms of a culture shock.

The seminars will focus on five specific themes

• Introduction of clubs and associations in Oulu, to become familiar with existing clubs and associations and Finnish leisure time activities.
• Company visits, to understand the economic background of the city.
• Cross-cultural seminars, to overcome obstacles resulting from different ways of thinking and behaving
• City exploration, to become aware of the city's resources.
• Historical and political seminars, to understand the background of the Finnish people.
