pleasure, and beautiful parks and wonderful views are never
far away. The Oulu area has hiking, nature and forest trails
with resting places and campfire sites. There are also
birdwatching towers and platforms.

Hietasaari
The delightful Hietasaari area, with its nature trails,
birdwatching tower and campfire site, is located near the
city centre. The Hietasaari area, which arose from the sea
about 300–400 years ago, used to be popular among the
bourgeoisie who had summer houses there at the end of the
19th century.
Other attractions of the Hietasaari district include
the Nallikari recreation and camping site,
Spa Hotel Eden,
Hietasaari
Tanssimajakka (for dancing), boat berths and docking
areas as well as the home harbours of the local sailing
clubs.
